Default VAFC and a 1:1 rising rate fpr?????

Some of my friends around here are saying that we should have @ least a 1:1 rising rate regulator on my frineds hack setup. They are dsm heads. They are saying this because the eclipse turbo comes factory with a 1:1 rising rate fuel pressure regulator and that no boost car should be with out one.

What are your opinions and suggestions???

All honda regulators are 1:1. I am pretty sure that almost every fuel injected car nowadays runs a 1:1 fpr as well, its a pretty standard thing.
