vacuum line routing for turbo

vacuum line routing for turbo
I have searched this and found nothing. I have a gsr turbo and have ran it for about a year. I recently had a guy tell me that my vacuum lines are ran wrong. Can anyone tell me the correct routing and sources?
One thing is that now my bov receives vacuum from the wastegate and he told me it should be hooked to my manifold after the throttlebody?
Another suggestion was that I should cap the vacuum port on the compressor and not use it?
So bascically my wastegate vacuum port would go to my manual boost controller, then to my FMU and then back to the wastegate?
Any suggestions are appreciated!
PS I have hondata.

Ah, Ya the BOV is not going to work very well if at all in that configuration.
Run its line after the TB
As far as the WG goes, you can use either of the above. If you run off the IM you will see a little more boost I believe. I have it ran per Tial's instruction to the compressor. If you search it has been covered numerous times
I also would recommend a vacuum manifold
You can make one at lowes for a couple of $$ and run it off the brake booster

Yes, run ur blow off valve vacuum line frm the manifold...i run mine from the fpr.
and the wastegate, i run it rom the compressor housing...some run it frm the manifold...and they say its a better source with high boost applications

Starting at the wastegate the line comes out and tees to go to the BOV (wrong), then by the spark plug wires it tees to a line that goes to the compressor (which I should just cap off??) then continues around the block and under the manifold and over to the fmu. I now no longer have the Vortech and I have an SX fpr then the line finally hits the manual boost controller and returns to the top side of the wastegate.
Now as far as I understand the way it should be: bov to manifold (now victor x). i was told to move the MBC to the passenger side of the car so their is less vacuum line. So the line comes out of the bottom port of the wastegate and through the MBC and out to the top of the wastegate. The bov should run to the maniofld as well as the fpr vacuum source. Let me know if this is correect??

Well if the wastegate line is tapped to the intake manifold, then it would be no problem running the bov to the wastegate line because technically that's a source after the throttle body.

wow that's a cluster of vacuum T's, I can't imagine any of your devices are getting a very good vacuum signal.
I run the vacuum line to the wastegate from the compressor housing.
My BOV is T'd off my cruise control vacuum line
My FMU (*when I had one*) was T'd off the stock FPR vacuum line
Too many T's off of one vacuum line will cause a weaker signal... HTH -B

just take out those lines, run one line from ur compressor to you wastegate.
run a another line (teed off) from you FPR...if ur running the FMU, u can tee tht with the FPR vacuum line too.
forgot about ur MBC, u gotts put tht in line (in between) the compressor and the wastegate!

That is an old photo I no longer have the vortech FMU, I now have a SX fpr with the Hondata. So I run a line from the bottom port on the wastegate to the compressor, I tee off that line to go to the inlet on the MBC, then the outlet of the MBC goes to the top port on the wastegate. Were should I get the vcacuum source for the FPR?? The wastegate to compressor line or can I just use the intake manifold pressure? Thanks

i dont know what kinda wastegate ur using, and i dont know which port u'd wanna use (i'd say, use the one u were using before). now the vaccum line coming outta ur compressor housing goes into the boost controller inlet, and run another line from the boost controller outlet to ur wastegate.
as for the FPR source, there should be a nipple on the manifold, which was used for the stock FPR, use the same source, and just tee off a line for ur blow off valve from there...

i dunno which one to use, cuz i dont have tht wastegate, neither do i know wht kind it is. so if you give more info on tht i can try to help.

Why do you have FMU and hondata both ? you can ditch your FMU with Hondata.. You're running extremely high fuel pressure and it may wear out your fuel pump prematurely.
Here's what I usually do.
Bov - separate to the IM
Boost controller - Separate to IM
everything else, you can tee off anything.
Vacuum is vaccum, you just want to have a separate signal for some parts.

I meant FPR, not FMU.
Everyone seems to agree about the BOV going to the intake manifold, but I can't believe how many different ways I have heard to hook up the rest.
I am going to hook it up with the BOV going to the intake manifold. The FPR also tapping the intake manifold. The bottom port (boost) going to the MBC inlet and from the MBC outlet a line to the top port on the wastegate (vacuum). Also I will cap the turbo compressor port. The reason for capping this is because both it and the bottom port on the wastegate give boost pressure, it seems redundant. What do you all think?
