Default vacuum leak?

well i have some sort of a leak under my hood, it seems to be coming from under the intake manifold, and its really loud. the car will idle at about 1200 rpm or so and drop to about 800 after a few seconds, after that its a pretty stable idle, so im really confused as to what it is. im also not getting full boost, im assuming its due to the same thing, im hitting about .34 bar when i should hit .45 bar and im tired of all these stupid little problems making my car slow. sorry for the long post

Yes, this could be a vacuum leak. If you can hear it, than follow the sound and hear where it's coming from. This should be a simple fix. Find the leak and repair it. A hose could've simply slipped off or ripped off. I don't mean too sound mean, but it sounds like a simple fix. You already said that it's coming from the intake Manifold so you solved half the problem. Now just reinstall or replace the hose. Good luck!

not that easy, or it would be fixed already. it sounds as though its coming from underneath the intake manifold, as in UNDER it where i cant see, and i dont know what lines run under there so im not quite sure what to do, i have had several people look at the car already and noone could figure it out because the car is not acting like it has a vacuum leak, the idle is fairly smooth, it doesnt surge, im going insane, my head will soon explode

The cruise control vac line runs behind the IM, toward the bottom...
