Vacuum hose questions
I have a question regarding vacuum lines in my car. any input would be great.
question#1
Do the length of vacuum lines effect performance and accuracy. aka boost controller, boost gauge, map sensor etc....
questions#2
Does teeing off lines change performance or readings aka teeing off the map with the fpr line or teeing off the map with the bov line.
question#3
does using reducers change the accuracy of the readings aka going from a 1/4 to 1/8 inch to a boost gauge.
Question#4
Should you run one line for everything that needs a vacuum line? and is there a better spot to add fittings in an intake manifold aka closer to the tb or closer to the middle.
thanks ahead of time for any input

Thanks for at least that little bit of input. Anyone else? i was hoping some guys with a lot of boosted car experience and higher hp setups would chime in.

I heard that having too long of a reference line for my boost controller can lag it's performance and also that the lines running from the solonoid on your boost contoller should be as short as possible and need to be under 2 feet to work properly. I'm going to try and get some answers tomorrow
well i got this reply from evans
#1 Always use as short of lines as possible. The length of the lines can effect performance.
#2 You should use a vacuum block. Much cleaner installed look.
#3 Reducers for the boost gauge will not change the readings.
#4 Use a vacuum block, route all fittings from the vacuum block.
