Vaccum Questions!
Okay, so im still learning about Vaccum. My car is almost ready to be sent to the shop for dyno. I have a few Vaccum questions, an some common knolage questions about vaccum.
Q-My waste gate has 2 pressure lines, on on top. An one on the side. Are these to ports the same?
Q-I bought a big roll of vaccum hose from Knects auto parts. I wanted to know, is there a Special kinda vaccum hose im supposed to be useing? Like a High Temp?
i have hurd that if i dont use a high temp hose it will Melt, an catch fire. What im useing is standard vaccum hose, its rubber. Its what all the other vaccum lines on a honda are made out of....... is that ok to use?
Q-I have a E01 greddy boost controller that im useing. An im doing the Clean'st install of the Vaccum Hose's i can, I have ran my WASTEGATE lines through my through my frame, Under my wheel well an everything is secured, out of harms way.
Is that a bad idea? The lines are kinda long, they run Through my frame, an back into the engine bay near where my strut is. I have the lines as short as possible.
I see alot of people run there lines right over there motor to there vaccum source but that seems really sketch cause they are not secure.
Q-is there a difference from Pressure source an a Vaccum source?
I am useing a OBX vaccum rail that feeds off my brake booster. I only have it Taped to 3 things. My BOV, an my Wastegate/E01 boost controller.
Im just trying to get as much info about vaccum as possible so when i bring it to the dyno it is all ready. An i feel good about Putting together my first turbo kit!
Any info helps! thanks for readin!

q1: the top port is for an electronic boost controller , if you don't have one, just leave it open with no hose connected
q2: regular vaccum hose is fine
q3: running the lines to hide them isn't such a great idea, you want the shortest lines possible, vac lines don't have to be secure(well where they hook up they need to be damn secure) its best to put zip ties or something to hold them on better
q4:running them off the vaccum manifold is fine... if the E01 is electronic run it to the top of the wastegate like i said before

cool man thanks alot for sharing your info!
Gave me some good tips!
Q-can some one give me a good idea for how long is to long for vaccum lines? in feet!
so i can measure mine an see where im at, an come up with good idea's!
thanks for the info again! anything helps yo!

I'm in the process of doing the same thing, trying to decide what goes where - it's my first turbo setup.
So just to verify where my greddy type s EBC lines go:
I have three holes on the greddy vacuum solenoid. COM goes to the unit, NO is empty, and the third hole (can't remember code on hole) has a hose coming out that is tee'd into two hoses, so those I assume one goes to wastegate and other to vacuum manifold - very confusing.

Yes there is a difference from a pressure source and a vacuum source. a vacuum source will show just vacuum. a pressure source will typically show both vacuum and pressure.
For example, on a supercharged setup, the vacuum source would be anywhere before the blower, and the pressure source would be anywhere after the blower.
