VAC LINES
hello everyone,
i am a newbie and i just got a Drag 3 kit for my 95 GSR.i have upgraded to a tial wastegate and greddy typeS BOV and the missing link.i also have A/F and boost gauges by autometer.i have read the instrutions on importparts.com and overboost.com and i think i can put the kit in myself with help from friends.my question is about the vac lines.basically how to hook those up.i have tried searching for pictures/diagrams online but never could find any.i know i could take it somewhere to get the whole kit installed so i don't have to worry about that but i want to know how to do it and also try to save some money.i am pretty sure there are alot of different ways to hook up the vac lines.do different ways affect anything?are the vac line diagrams a big secret?i know how to install the major componets but its the vac lines that i am having trouble with.i am going to tap the A/F gauge into the O2 sensor line right before the ecu.can anyone help me with the vac lines(like connect what to what;vortech fmu, FPR, BOV, wastegate, turbo, intake manifold)?pictures/detailed instructions?anyone in the LA area willing to let me look under their hood?any help is appreciated. Thanks

it's very simple. there isnt any one way of doing it. basically the boost gauge, FMU, and BOV need to be tapped from ANY vac source, meaning anything on the intake manifold, for the FMU and boost gauge you can use the line that goes to the stock FPR, just Tee off of that. I would find another source for the BOV just because you dont want to have to many things on one line, any line that is on the intake manifold is fine. you might be able to use the line that goes to the little Evap sensor or whatever it is. the wastegate does not need vac you tap that either from the compressor housing or somewhere on the piping. I like to tap my wastegate lines into the boost piping after the intercooler right before the TB.
