What is v-band? Like I saw v-band downpipe in a thread... whats that? How's it different from a regular downpipe?

No welds, you use v-band clamps to hold it together.

its not that its no welds, becuase you still need to weld the Vband flanges on . its just for ease of removal becuase you dont need all the bolts like a reg flange. its similar to like a T bolt flange or coupling flange if you will .

Oh ok, so there's no real benefit other than convenience right?

I want to get a vband from cheapturbo.com.

Anyone with vbands have any complaints? Like leakage or anything like that?

I'm not trying to downplay V-Band...hell if I had the money I'd be running a V-Band downpipe and maybe even v-band charge pipe! Only v-band on the car right now is on the TiAL blow off valve.

Yeah makes things alot easier. I'm doing vbands on the dp, the cat, and the muffler on 3" ss mandrel kit from kteller so I can switch them out for straight pipes or different muffler's when I feel like it. I'll be getting it all tig welded.
