Using low compression pistons..
allright may be a noob question but here goes...
im building a b16a right now and plan on going turbo. I got JE low compression pistons and after I get the motor built im going to be broke as hell and would need to save for a while longer to get a turbo...If i go ahead and swap the motor in would there be a really big difference in power being low compression without the turbo? and would it be allright to do this...? Please let me know your expertese opinions

just leave em in until you boost. it would be just too big of a hassle in my opnion to rip it down two times just to change pistons.

Yeah power will be down a little due to the lower compression but not to much(depending on what compression you went with).
Yeah you can drive it like that with no problems

I'm running low compression without a turbo on my GS-R motor right now. It's a little rough at first but it's better for the motor. It's good to run it without the turbo for the first 1000 miles or so to ensure that the rings seat properly. Once you get used to it, it's not that bad.
