Default low compression pistons.

I just slung rod on my d16y8. I am putting a turbo on it there is just a couple more things a have to get. I have some vitatas turbo low compression pistons I am putting in it. I think i know the answer to this already, but while i got the block out can i put those pistons in with out running a turbo for the time being or would the compression be to low and stall out.
