Using injector duty as HP estimate?
I was looking at my fuel maps, and it got me thinking. Most stock to mildly built setups usually get about 0.65-0.7 the whp per injector CC when max their injectors. Could this be used as a very rough estimate?
The reason I'm wondering is that I'm still running the stock d16 internals, and have ~11.5:1 AF's & ~40% duty cycle near red (10psi). Since they're 780cc squirters, that would mean it would be near a theoretical 220whp. This is a d16z6 with a t3/t04b s-trim, full 3" dp/exhaust, running 10psi, so it sounds about right. I know there's no substitution for a dyno, but there's also no dynos with free time all that close to me...yet.
