Default US B20 v. JDM B20 for boost?

I'm looking to do a B20/VTEC-Turbo. Through some research, I've come to the understanding that the US B20 bottom ends should not be used for boost applications...unless you change out pistons and rods. Would the JDM spec B20 bottom end be better for boost?

the USDM b20z is the same as the JDM b20b...As for the USDM b20b, it has lower compression than the other two. If you want turbo with no internal strengthening, then I reccomend the USDM b20b....there is however a horsepower difference, but the vtec head and turbo will more than make up for it.
