What's the power goal? That's a lot of cam for smaller turbos.

HP goals? I just tuned a built single cam (eagle/vitara, zex 35900)that made 544whp on a garrett 57 trim cold side and center section and bullseye exhaust wheel and housing on 110 fuel.

Possibly. Using a Borg-Warner 75mm turbine wheel will always give top end peak power, but the compressor wheel is begging for mercy.

Yeah, that was at 35lbs. Wouldnt make any more lol. made power up to 8500 then dropped like a stone. Took it to the track and before it exploded the single cam tranny, went 12.0 on 15lbs

So, I'm rather confused. Are you saying that the next turbo you want to make more than 550whp, or within an efficiency range less than 35 psi but closer to 15psi of boost pressure.

Are you staying more street/strip or more strip.... No E.Ts please. A HP level of maximum boost pressure, an RPM limit and a budget (a maximum willingness to spend on turbocharger dollar amount range, please)

Not saying we want it to make any more HP. The only reason we stopped at 15lbs was cause the tranny exploded the diff. We didnt stop at 15lbs for any reason lol. Thats just when the tranny scattered. And working my way up to 544 hp, it wouldnt make any more on the next pull. We maxxed out the turbo. The last pull was 15hp less and AFR's were perfect and it was on 37psi. So with all being considered and the IAT's in the 120 degreee range, i took it as we were out of turbo. I took it what i feel was beyond the limits of the turbo at 650crank HP on a "57trim" and sotck sleeves on a single cam, so the owner wanted to stop. Backed it down and made another pull at safe levels and amde the nearly same 540hp. Good enough for us.

I see... That's a bit better of an explanation. The turbine wheel had plenty to go, but the compressor wheel was at its edge. Its only 51lbs/min. that's as far as it can compress air. if IATs were getting over 130F* you know you're approaching max speed on the compressor.

So, let's try this again..

1-You want 650whp or crank hp?
2- an RPM limit
3- a budget (a maximum willingness to spend on turbocharger dollar amount range, please)
