Default UBERDATA: Fix hunting idle on cold engine

My idle bumps up and down until the car has been driven a bit, I am new to tuning so I ask for some advice.

I am using usdm p30 maps in jdm p72 code on a edm p28. I have a b16a2.

It may not be your uberdata. It may be your fast idle control. That's what mine was. You can fix it.

thanks for your help how did you fix it? Would it stabilize when the engine warmed up?

I just figured it was the new maps I was using since it never happened before on the obd2 ecu.

Yep it would stop when the engine warmed up and it didn't do it on my obd2 ecu niether. I thought it was becuase of the ecu's. The obd2 can correct things unlike the obd1's

Incorrect, the OBD2 IACV runs on a different frequency than the OBD1 shizzle.

I've been through this a couple different times, the idle properties get worse the bigger the injectors - the problem is twofold; you need to fiddle IACV in Uberdata until it idles decently (but will most likely still be muddy and fluctuate a little) then start tuning the part throttle maps. Idle can be affected by most of the readings between 0-1500 rpm and 26 in/hg to 15 in/hg.

You've been tuning just the last two or three vacuum columns, huh?

I have stock injectors. I put the stock obd2 ecu in and I got code 10 iat sensor. Would this cause it? I don't get a code with the obd1 ecu unless I run the stock jdm p72 bin w/knock disabled, then it starts, revs drop, cel comes on, and idles at ~3k, almost like its not reading the rom. EDIT: Or its in limp mode. It worked before though. I will swap the iat sensor and see what happens and also try the iacv in uberdata. I have not played with the maps yet.

Another weird thing I noticed, when I had the bin I made with p30 values in the jdm p72 bin, if I held the rpm at any point, say 3k, it would drop then rise over and over. EDIT: But it doesn't throw a code. weird because I put the values in the jdm bin. I wonder if that bin is okay, I am worried because I used crome to copy and paste the maps and adjust the scalars, and crome is really buggy. BTW it isn't ftl.

Where do you think I got the tip that I needed to tune higher up the pressure scale to tune my idle? Hyundaidata!

It almost makes up for the notable number of errors regarding their product. RPM and MAP scalars, claims that the Honda MAP sensor reads higher than it does, etc.

Dunno, I sold mine

J.Davis definitly seems to have an opinion on it, and his word is gold to me.

I personally don't care enought to investigate. YES, it would be nice ot have tools to minimize it. And blake has given us those tools (thanks blake). But to me, it's the cost of doing business.

It's an extra incentive to let the car warm up, like you should be doing anyways

Oh yeah, and someone smarter than me said that fuel up to like the 3rd or 4th column can affect your idle... And I noticed that there is a nice square in the upper left hand corner, where all the ignition values are the same.... up to ~1krpm??? I think the advice was to not pull too much fuel.
