uberdata datalogging.. problems
Sup guys,
I've setup datalogging with uberdata 1.70 and it does work but only for a minute or so. After that it seems like there's a block in the cable or something. Basically, uberdata "freezes" or doesn't respond until I remove USB cable that's connected to the ECU and plug it back in.
Port settings are as follows:
COM1
38400
8
none
1
none
FIFO buffers off (advanced options)
Why does either Uberdata or ECU freeze and how do I fix the problem? Again, I get accurate results from between 30secs to about two minutes at the most. Then something is blocked in the connection.
Thanks!

yeah, it's inspiron...
i think the problem i was having could be due to a head to chasis ground that i found to be disconnected... i will try uberdata again and see if that was causing the freezing port... it's very possible
in any case.... if you have ideas what else could be causing uberdata to freeze or rather the ecu/usb port to freeze, tell me
aight, im out for now

AS Uberdata logs it saves it somewhere and the page file for the system becomes overloaded. Notice if you shutoff Uberdata and start it up again it should work. Mine will datalog for about 5-10 minutes constant then become sluggish then stop working. You can hit the "clear dataloggin values" button and that should clear things up
is it the same for everyone? i thought some others got it to work for much longer.
mine works for a minute then freezes... uberdata stops responding....
if i change the page file will that fix it? also, how do i change the page file?
i reformatted the laptop with a clean install of winxp home and installed prolific drivers on COM4 and it still freezes.. hmm
