look for the newest release of 1.7. It is working fine now and from what i know has very many fixed bugs. It also has datalogging and some cool stuff like the iacv slider if you are having idle problems. Runs fine in my car

get 1.7"b" if you need the stockls.bin to work. It's halfway through the announcement thread.

I enjoy 1.66, even though it gives me weird error messages.

1.7 has a much smoother transition between being on and off throttle. Use the 1.7

1.7 is the way to go, I just finished writing the boost step retard script and it will hopefully be in the next official release, if you really want that feature you can download it from the test scripts forum and replace the boost.als.txt with it.

I like 1.7 for the datalogging. Also the ignition retard is right in that version, it isn't right in 1.66, it retards to much in 1.66.

certainly - I was running 1.66 in my car for a while and when I let go of the gas, my car would jolt - when I pressed the gas again, it would jolt. So basically, if I was cruising on the highway and barely pressing the gas, the car would start shaking a bit if I used too little gas.

Then when I got 1.7, I copied and pasted the EXACT map over to 1.7 - and guess what? - it drives like a dream now - 100% smooth. I think there was some kinda glitch with 1.66 that was fixed in 1.7 for that.

there's always going to be bugs.
but 1.70 is a beter version than 1.7.

and that jolting is tuning; i promise you. you probably were just running some basemap and or your part throttle tuning left something to be desired.

smooth running motors are 99% about tuning with uberdata.

On the other hand, it could have something to do with injector cut activating at 5% throttle instead of 0%, which was fixed in either 1.7 or 1.70.

Despite the claims on the front page about sanely labelling UD releases, there is a lot of confusion in re 1.7 and 1.70, also called "B." If you go to the Official Release Forum on the UD Forums, it (1.70 aka B) is the only thread there.
