Default Type R vavletrain?? NEED HELP

Been thinking bout buying type r valvtrain for my b16 head. I already have a brand new pair of type r camshafts. Question is i be doing an ls/vtec setup and i need to know if type r vavletrain would go good with my cams or should just get aftermarket **** with my ls/vtec turbo setup. Hoping to get around good 500ish hp out of it. And just was wondering if type r can hold it ??

all depenends on how high you plan to rev the motor.

Id look at the price difference between what you were going to buy, and some aftermarket stuff. Its prob not that much more for the possibility to rev higher if your setup wants to keep making power, and some more durability.

If you don't plan on revving past 9k rpms or so you would save some money and get the ITR springs and you'll be fine. You really shouldn't rev that high with an LS/Vtec anyways (so I've heard).

get the aftermarket stuff now and dont have regrets later when a retainer lets go. happened to my friend with his R valvetrain. he made somewhere just under 500, hes got a thread on here with pics of his piston and head afterwards, it looked great!
