Default Type R cam and Boost...

I was hearing some detonation in my car and i was wondering what affect the Type R intake cam that i have in there has any affect on it. I have a regular GSR exhaust cam. No matter how much i turn my ignition timing back i still hear a bit of detonation. Is that cam bad for FI?

Thanks- Corey

The cam will have no effect if you are detonating. The only way cams will cause detonation is on a high compression all motor engine that is using stock cams.

I would imagine that you are detonating due to overly increased igntion timing, bad gas in your area or tuning.
