The twin loop is too small, you would be better off getting a 3" exhaust. The general rule with boost is the larger the exhaust the more power you will make.

It's up to you, but if you are going to buy and exhaust and don't allready own the mugen twin loop, to me it makes more sense to go with the 3". But its your car and your money. Think about this, an e- cut out is loud for the street, and you will probably be smelling exhaust fumes at a stop. Also I doubt if there is a huge hp gain over the 3" exhaust.

i dont know about gains over the 3". But an e-cutout consist of a switch and butterfly. My friend ran bonestock civic exhaust with an e-cutout. With it open he made 43 more whp than with it closed and running the exhaust through the stock ****. When it closed it felt liek a turd, but it was like stock sounding civic. When racing he flipped the switch, it was loud and fast. I think best of both worlds

Im also planning on using an E-cut for the best of both worlds deal. There is a thread on evans tuning about power gains when using an ecut. needles to say the difference when using a stock vs an ecut is like night and day.

Friend of mine went 11.0@126 with his turbo LS on 15 psi and pump gas through a mugen twin loop exhaust.

Use a cutout a good one.

Run your fucken twin loop **** there's alot of bends in the system its obviously not the best of best but its quiet.

you'll regret getting the cut-out after you see how unreliable it is. trust me.

hey midship how long you been using the DMH? I mean has it lasted for awhile with consistent use? I was about to post and tell this guy to screw the e-cutout cuz ive heard nothing but bad things, mostly QTP ones. I like the idea of the cutout, but is the DMH one reliable? Id assume it has alot to do with how far back in the exhaust it is, for heat reasons. Also I was thinking bracing the motor to something with a rubber bushing of some sort might help reliablility?

Also I would assume you tune with it open correct? Tunning with it closed and then opening it might cause some problems i think...

Summit has a pretty decent price on em too

yeah, you always tune for you max power. SO yeah, tune with it open. Yeah. I looked at summits prices, its only a little bit more than the qtp plus it has a 4 year warranty. I wish i could get the damn y pipe for cheap though. If i can get an ecut for like 200shipped, i will be VERY happy!!!

to keep the best flow in your exhaust with the cutout, I would look into someone in the welding/fab forum to make you a stainless 2 into 1 collector, whatever size you might need. Someone like burnsstainless, they got incredible stuff. Someone else might be cheeper though.

I ws thinking a 2 into 1 collector. The single side could have a 3" leg for a 3" downpipe, the other side could be one 3 inch for the cutout, and a 2.5" for a 2/5" exhaust. That would keep the car pretty damn quiet with it closed and have really good performance when open.

Just an idea
