Twin charge system....possible?

I was browsing the web and noticed that back in the day, Audi was using a twin charged system on rally Audi's back when Group B-class ( Lancia Delta S4) cars were the rage and they made some serious HP from them.
My question is, has anyone tried this and used it succesfully on a 1.8L Honda. I remember reading about something in the past about a twin charged Integra that never really reached fruition...or has it?
Just something I was thinking about because I was bored...and maybe something to do when I retire....

definately possible, but pointless albeit. The JRSC would crush any gains that the turbo would yeild simply because of the extreme heat. Although, you could run a MONSTER turbo, and with the jrsc to spool it on the bottom end, itd spool the turbo like a t25. But, heat is the enemy, and there wouldnt be as significant of a gain as with just the turbo.
I knew a guy running a holset hx40 and an eaton m90 on a 2.3L mustang. Last I knew he had a hard time keeping boost below 30psi.. it was suppose to be pretty fast though. The trick to making it work is to figure out a bypass system so that when the turbo spools the blower either shuts off or blows its boost somewhere else. I'm not sure what would happen if you ran the blowers outlet into the turbo inlet.. That should help spool it and a good intercooler will take the heat out.

Talking about heat, you are correct. Even with a FMIC or a air to water IC, the intake temps would not be low enough right?...
Well, I was just thinking about it...what if carbon fibers rotors were used in a JRSC thus not contributing as much to heat absorption compared to aluminum rotors?

there would still be alot of heat because the heat come from compressing the air not really the blades. It would work best with and s/c with a clutch(mercedes-benz uses them on their blowers) that could turn off the sc once the turbo has spooled. A giant turbo would also be best like a t66 or larger and to keep things cool you could do water/methanol injection that way no i/c nessesary.

Are you sure about that? Maybe I read it wrong....

Looks like it was in Group B before they curtailed the group later at the end of the season... and wasn't Lancia a part of Audi? I don't know for sure....

lol audi and lancia are NOT the same company, not even indirectly related. The Lancia Stratos (one of the best 2wd rally cars of its day) was powered by a Ferrari motor, too

C's has an overpriced twin charger kit that only produced 300whp at 14psi(EK4 B16A). HKS has been building twin charger kits for AE86/AE101 4AG's since the AE101 was released with a supercharger.
