Default Turning up the boost

I have a greddy kit with the pre-programmed emanage at the stock 5.5 psi, I was considering turning up the boost to 7 or 8psi...My question is will the motor hold up without tuning? I will get it tuned eventually but I heard that greddy sets their fmu's very rich anyway so its ok. I also plan on using the homemade mbc idea from c-speed and I need to know how to cap off the barb on the turbo that goes to the wastegate so I can run the MBC from a source after the turbo. Thanks

If you're close to a dyno it couldnt hurt to have it on there when you turn u the boost. Not only to see WHP gains, but to keep an eye on the Air/Fuel ratio w/ wideband.

hey man ive been running my greddy kit on my d16z6 at 8 lbs boost for a few months hard. No problems. Runs awesome. I won't go above that without internals or better fuel management. Right now im just runnin the blue box with intercooler and hks bov.

now if u have the untunable "blue box"(not e-manage) that comes with the greddy kit, u can check out the link in my sig for the dyno graphs. i have one that shows boost compared to a/f ratio levels. it actually runs pretty lean around 7-8 psi. this was done with no other fuel mods besides the blue box. my ignition timing was at 14 BTDC if i remember and i made pretty good power

and to cap off the barb on your turbo u can cut a piece of vacuum line, get a bolt or screw to fit on the end and secure it with a small ziptie.
