turbosmart MBC in cabin install *****SOLVED****
Hi,, I am currently having issues while I'm in boost (car is hesitating) I just found out how my manual boost controller was installed, here is the link how it should be installed:
http://www.turbosmart.com.au/i...id=18
Mine, the only diference is that the exhaust hose is connected to a vacuum source (fpr),, turbosmart are saying to route that hose into the engine bay, do they mean free air?? could it be the cause of my car hesitating in boost?? where in the engine bay I should have that hose??
thanks.

what does your boost gauge say? is the car holding the proper boost? any spiking or creeping? i would doubt your boost controller was causing hesitation unless its overboosting and hitting some kind of fuel cut or leaning out.

is the exhaust hose is supposed to go on a vacuum source??? this is what I want to know,, turbosmart says into the engine bay, but what does that mean exactly. I will do some more testing when this answer will be answered.
thank you.
thank you.

Re: (birz)
I don't really get why it has that, sounds like you are just running that as a vent, but it really shoudn't be sucking anything other then fresh air. I think its just open, and i feel that because they say you don't need to clamp it.... i don't know though.
I'd unhook it once, and boost it, see what it does. Watch the boost closely, and maybe start fully low boost.

I have been fighting with my single stage turbosmart MBC for a while. I have sent back three, and none of them have worked right. With the switch OFF im at 15 psi (wastegate is 10 psi!) with the switch ON it drops to 9psi! I know the thing is hooked up right and that vacuum routing is right. Ive had some turboed friends look at it and they cant figure it out either. We put a homemade MBC on and it works perfect. They told me at Turbosmart that the top port on an external wastegate was not for the boost controller. I sent them to a website showing that it was, and they said they had never seen such information. GOOD LUCK with this company.

Well it turned out that I was right,, I unplugged the hose and no more hesitation in full boost,,, I'm so happpy you vcan't imagine how!!
the car runs too rich though but that's something else hehe
thanks again and I hope that it can help someone if they have hesitation in boost,, chaeck vacuum line first!!!!!! I was thinking electrical problem, not enough gaz, defective fuel pump, bad resistor box, bad grounding,,, duhhh!! it was only a matter of unplugging a simple hose hahaha!!
pain relieved!!
