could you use a turbo from a truck and use it on a b18 or d16 motor? the only reason i asked because at my job, we have a few turbos laying around, i know we have a garretT28 and i think a T6 ( im really not sure but its huge) my boss said i could have em.. i was going to take and try to sell em

Most truck turbos are way to big for a four cylinder application.

 

I think a truck turbo would be way to big for your application. Turbos like that are designed for inline 6 diesels with dispacments of 10+ liters.
I have a friend with a ford Aero Max and his turbo is huge the motor it's a 15.6 liter inline 6.
Boost is regulated at 15 PSI but he spun a rod and blew it up last week... too bad.

 

Depends....what kind of trucks are these off of? What type of engine: diesel, displacement, I-6, V-8??

Any specs off the turbos? Turbine a/r is usually cast into the housing at least.
