Has anyone failed or had problems with state inspection due to boosting your ride that didn't come that way stock. What are the laws in Texas or is it a city thing. If we are legally restriced how do you guys get around this.

texas law states that turbos on non factory turbo cars are illegal.
i see plenty of people that have maanged to pass emission though since many places dont know what came with a turbo and what didnt.

I have had problems only once getting inspected. I had a filter on my valve cover. Plumbed that sucka to my turbo intake and viola, problem fixed (and that's the way it should of been anyhow ) And yes they knew I had a turbo, as soon as they got in the car, they recognized the gauges, electronics; tt, ebc, alcohol inj. and we ended up bs'ing about building motors, nitrous vs turbos vs all motor etc. Cool guys. I have been to two stations like this. In fact everywhere I've taken the car, folks are cool to me cause of the turbo and we end up just shootin' the
$h!t.

i am just checking now before i get my hopes up to high and start getting my parts. i pretty much just failed state inpection because i changed out my bumper turn signals to clear ones. i haven't had any problems with cops in the 1-1/2 years that i had them so i figured i could pass inspection. nope. the guy told me that he didn't want to fail me so he didn't test me and said because of my lights, i would fail. he didn't mention anything of my swap so i taught i was in the clear.
