Default turbonetics vs. precision (new setup)

well im looking to get a new turbo setup and so far ive already got a tial wastegate (11.6 psi spring), inline pro t3 mani., hondata s100, mitsu 450cc injectors, 2.5in. DP, all of this is going into my stock b18b powered crx. now the only thing missing is the turbo. this will be a street/strip setup mostly street. my goals are to make about 260 whp on about 10psi. i would like quick spool up times (3500rpm).i would also like a turbo that wont crap out on top end. ive been looking at the sc34 57 trim .60 .63ar. and the turbonetics turbo with the same specs. any suggestions on other turbos will be appreciated. what make a precision better that turbonetics?

I would recommend the SC50 for your goals.

Well i hope you know that 11.6 will be the lowest boost you can run so your goal on 10 psi isnt going to happen

anyhow to answer your question I have personal experience with both turbo's that may help you. I have ran both turbo's but unfortuanetely they were on different cars/setups so the comparison has other variables invloved. I had the turbonetics t3/t4 57 trim on my b20 vtec gsr, 2.36 exhuast. It always felt like it was running out of breath up top, but i was also only running 6.5 psi

Current setup Ls motor/precision sc34 3" exhuast on same 6.5 psi, the pull is stronger up top but Im also running 3" exhuast this time. This car feels just as fast as the previous setup on same psi. Either way i like the feel of the precision better, it's designed to outflow similar sized turbo and it does just that IMO.

Turbonetics customer service and products have been going down lately anyways. Spend the extra $ and get a better quality product.
