Default turbo'd sleeper

it's a dumb question but... i was thinking about getting turbo on my stock 96 dx hatch and i want it to be a sleeper. is there a way i could lower the sound of the bov? i know the sound is coming from the air being forced out, but is there a way i could do this without the *putsssss* sound being so loud? would the process be difficult and would it effect the performance?
thanks.

If you purchase a tial bov there is very little noise that comes out of it. So you can be a sleeper.

Tial bov not only quiet but it works very well.

Here GB for tial.

You can reroute the BOV back into the turbo intake(piping with the filter on the turbo) like the 2gen eclipse. You will still hear the Psst, it just won't be as loud.

Doesn't one of the HKS BOV's come with an optional filter to put on the exhaust port of the BOV?

Get a 1g or 2g Eclipse BOV. Run a tube from the port of the BOV back into the intake, exactly like it comes on the Eclipse. That will be very quiet.

Yes, mine has one but it still blows off pretty noticeably, nothing like a Greddy BOV though.

why oh why would you want to muffle the sweet beautiful sound of a BOV.

But seriously only way to make it quiet is to reroute into intake pipe.

Glad to hear the Tial is resonably quiet, I'm going for the same thing. To ad its had to miss the turo spooling. . .cant muffle that.

Dude, just drive easy and shift low. Nobody will hear anything and you can still wrap it out and bask glorious sound of your BOV!

go to ebay, get one for a 88-92 supra, route it back into the intake, you won't hear it at all, all you'll hear will be the slight whine of the turbo.

i have the 1g dsm bov and i put a 1.5 foot piece of hose on it kind of like a snorkel just to chamber the sound a bit, it helps. but the thing isint that loud in the 1st place.
