Default turbocharing and supercharging at the same time

Is it possible to turbocharge and supercharge your car? I heard it's called dual charging correct me if I'm wrong. Would this be a good idea if it is possible?

They did it with WWII aircraft, Lancia's, and (to bring diesel oddness into discussion) Detroit Diesels until ~20 years ago. The concept doesn't fit into the box of limited understanding as it exists on Honda-Tech, so most discount it as worthless. It is not worthless - it is a great method of making power - but you'd never make idle emissions in this day and age.

the question is why? They have turbo hondas running 8's in the quarter right now. Why would u want a supercharger too?

Just like a Roots overheats (compared to turbo) charge temps when compressing air, it "intercools" charge when it is reverse driven by a large turbo. Add into the equation how a Roots acts as a check valve against reversion, and your combustion temps drop in relation to power and you have upped your "knock limit" on pump gas. The only real downside is complexity of system - KISS has a lot to recommend it.

Oh, yeah, 8 second drag Honduhs... try to drive on the street and get it to spool anytime soon... on pump gas. Possibly an 8 second drag Honduh doesn't have anything to do with anything here.... they sure don't have anything to do with Hyundaidata, Precision SC61, or any of a bunch of other **** you'll find 99.9% comprises this forum. I'm talking a significant bump in power without poor drivability and with great longevity - are you?
