(turbo v8!) should i get a new camshaft?
Just turbo'd my car, everything else is stock except for exhaust, should i upgrade camshaft or anything else? Or any advice on care for a turbo small block 350, thanks.
::Edit::
i forgot to say, i have the boost set to 4~5 psi, until around 3100rpm where it goes to 8~9 psi, so that it only boosts high when im WOT or nearly WOT, since its an automatic

Its up to you, you will make much more power with a good quality turbo cam, espcially with a small block. Friction is the small blocks worst enemy, if you get a nice roller lifter setup, good cam, rockers, and pushrod ratios ive seen gains of over 100 whp. Also look into some head, you can get some complete aluminum ines for around 700 a piece.

Re: (SOHCD16y8)
Thanks, but do you think the boost will cause any damage? small blocks are pretty tough, but still. 8 psi isnt so much i think, but it probably just depends on the condition of the block, but thanks for input, i think im gonna look into some turbo cams

Re: (SOHCD16y8)
bottom = stock
block = stock
the whole thing is stock, according to the previous owner, although the headers look newish. I brought it to my friends shop to do some basic tuning, he told me he had to retard the timing, i cant remember why, i brought it to him cause hes the tuneing expert not me. We're gonna dyno tomorrow, expecting 340-375 hp.
