Default Turbo Type R's...

I'm in the process of turbo charging my Type R. I'm running the REV Hard Manifold and a Turbonetics 60-1 HIFI turbo. So far to get it to fit I've had to notch the block a bit and trim the fan shroud and even barely "clip" the very tip off of each of the fan blades. I know the FAL fan would have worked fine but I'm low on funding right now
I wanted to see if that seems to be normal for other boosted Type R's.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info guys.
My little project should be done here in the next week or so. And yes I'm going against all that is holy and running a stock block, head gasket etc. and a .45 bar spring
