Turbo timer wont keep the car on...
ok. i think i thought of everything. I am referring to the wiring on a 95 civic. If anyone can help me I will love you forever.
I put an HKS type 0 turbo timer in my car. I hooked the constant to the the battery (+). Hooked the ground to a nice unpainted spot. Hooked the ignition to what wire I think is hot when the ignition is on (blk/yel). and hooked the accessory to what i think is the correct wire (white/blk). basically, I tried every wire in different places except for the constant and the ground.
I disabled my alarm thinking that may have conflicted with the timer. I used a multi meter to insure I tapped the correct lines. The times comes on with the car, glows nicely, all the options working. I set the timer to ample time, and when I remove the key, the times shuts off yet the car remains on for a split second before it turns off.
why is it doing this? do I NEED to hook up the wire to the parking brake safety?
Any input will be greatly appreciated, go ahead and toss out all the ideas you can think of, stupid or not.
thanks

**** on me....should have simply looked on the hks site. you need to ground the wire responsible for the hand brake signal in order for it to function....
dammit
thanks for looking at my post however
