Default turbo timer question...

HKS turbo timer

does the e-brake and speed wires need to be hooked up for the turbo timer to work? Right now, when you shut the car off the timer shuts off also.

No (at least on the greddy and blitz ones you dont, so I assume the others don't either), make sure your using the right setting on the timer. I think most timers have like 2-3 different settings. The default setting might be 0sec and you don't even know it. You need to read the user guide though.

I bought the timer from H-T so I don't have a user guide with it.

I followed the picture that can be found in any of the turbo timer install threads but its not working lol.

It turns on with the car, but shuts off with the car also. We have the e-brake hooked up now and it still does it.

You need to wire it to the e-brake. Well, that is what I did to my greddy. Speed wire is not recommand it.

sounds like you don't have it wired up correctly then. go to the HKS site and down load the instructions on which wires go where and borrow a voltmeter if you don't have one. cause your going to need it to install the turbo timer correctly

I used a test light and couldnt get it to work. tried 4 or 5 different ways of hooking it up .. I think an H-T member sold me a non-working timer.
