yeah, i ran into this problem once. then i got a new alarm that has a turbo timer built into it. One of my buddies installs them for a really good price. They are compustars let me know if you are interested. He lives in tempe, but even people from tucson will only let him install them cause he know what he is doing.

me n my buddies run the Aladdin alarm, which is the same as the Compustar. both great alarms with all kinds of freakin features, but most importantly a built in turbo timer.

i've got an OEM alarm and i have no problems using it in conjunction with the turbo timer... but i'm sure its different for aftermarket applications.

i have an alpine alarm, and my car wont arm if the car is running. i've read you can hook up your alarm power wire to the stereo so that way the alarm thinks your car is off. then you can activate your alarm while the tt is running... just hope your car isnt to loud and set the alarm off.

you can hook up a relay to the greddy to work with your alarm.

you might need to turn your shock sensor down though so the engine vibrations wont set the alarm off when its counting down.

does the compustar eliminate the need for a external tt? so the compustar has a built in tt function?

yeah, the compustar has a built in TT, it comes with a pager, and can also do autostart. the thing i like the most is that the range on it is 1.25 miles

I'm pretty much in the market for a good alarm myself with built in turbo timer. Just wondering what models and what not you guys are using and where you guys got yours from?

Re: Turbo Timer and alarm?? (thaiphob)
So if we do not want to buy a new alarm how can we rig up the Greddy TT so that the alarm will work properly?

I use compustar on all my cars. My buddy installs them. If you need one, let me know.
