Default turbo spooling late- help?

i pulled the turbo this weekend to replace the manifold gasket that was leaking and now i dont reach full boost until about 5K rpm where it used to be 3500-3750 or so--

is it possible that if i have the oil feed pinched it would cause this??
what else could be the problem?
checked the manifold and piping-- no leaks, torqued everything down too.

the fact that u mentioned you have no leaks boggles me.. Last night after i got my car tuned it was driving perfect.. spooling at around 3400 rpm.. then shortly after it wouldnt hit full boost anymore at all.. everything looked good untill i removed the RUBBER (DOH!) coupling from the turbo to the IC pipe where it blows into and there was a hole in it. So if i were u i would try and reall inspect those couplings. Thats my 02 cents.

sounds like you've got a leak before the turbo... somewhere on the turbo manifold, either where it mates to the head or to the turbo itself. triple check all of your gaskets, and listen for leaks. check all your vacuum lines and couplers too.
