Re: Turbo SOHC RESPOND PLAESE (ttaplin)
You dont need an MSD ignition. Stock honda ignitions are good up to 500-600hp. And you are gonna need alot more than a turbo and a catback. I suggest you do some research.
This site is very helpfull. Its what I used when I built my first turbo kit.

yea dude, no need for the MSD, unless its just for bragging rights. Not to be a dick or anything, but a lot more is needed for turbo, other than the obvious. FMIC, Downpipe, injectors, plumbing of all kinds, etc. Not to mention your fuel management and tuning that comes after everything is put together....do some research man, a lot of good info on HT.

anything is possible...just turn it up a lil till u get there
but yeah, tuning is key to getting the most out of ur motor as well as ur set-up.
btw stock iggy is good, even pros use stock ignitions.

Re: (1995Civic)
sure its possible.. with my z6 motor.. all i did was slap on an apexi turbo kit.. big intercooler.. some injectors and ran uberdata.. i dont know how much im pushing, but im pretty positive im in or close to the 240whp mark.. i just ran a 13.1@112 with 13lbs and street tires before my dizzy started to take a **** on me.. i only got in 2 runs and im sure i would've taken it to 12.80's with street tires and low 12's with radials or slicks.. so sure, you can do it hehe..

I think with tuning you'll be fine. Stock sleeves and internals will hold more than 10psi as long as you get a good tune.

I blew 2 stock blocks on a good tune d16z6 greddy turbo back in the day at 9 1/2#. It will give you fun for a while. Go for it, its not like another block is expensive its pocket change, main thing you can install it yourself.
