Default Install and Dyno for So. Cali Drag III owners!

I talked to the owner of Dynamic Autosports in Lake Forest who has tuned and installed probably more Drag kits than any other shop. I asked him if he was interested in giving a good price on installation and dyno tuning for the members on this board.

Install and Dyno: $700.00. This includes all day tuning if necessary.

One thing to keep in mind is that all of the work is gauranteed to be top quality and this shop has an excellent reputation for their tuning. Just ask around. If you already have a turbo kit they will of course tune those cars too.

This is not a group buy and I have zero to gain from this.

If interested, email me and I will hook you all up. Send mail to rlthomas@jhmi.edu

I had my kit installed and tuned there about a year ago. Many kits leave with 270-300 whp.

Long live boost!

They tune stand alones such as DFI, etc...
They also tune the Apexi VAFC
Boost controllers
Timing devices such as MSD BTMs and stuff like that
Cam gears
fuel pressure
excellent trouble shooting
they do flex pipe stuff
In short, they will maximize the power your set up is capable of.

So if you have a stock DRAG gen III kit, they just run your car on the dyno and tell you your numbers? There is not much they can tune short of setting your ignition timing to a safe amount of advance.

Not trying to be cynical, but lots of people just buy the drag kit and leave it stock... I would not want them to be misled into thinking that they will get their car "tuned" when there is nothing that can actually be changed by the dyno facility.

DA is a good shop.. alot of my friends go there.. but for 700 dollars you could install it yourself.. learn a lot, then spend a hundred during a dyno day....

I guess if you are proficient with installation, then this is the best option. I myself cannot risk injury to my hands, so it was not an option for me. Well, I wouldn't underestimate tuning on the Drag. With dyno tuning anywhere comes trouble shooting. For example, my ignition was failing and my high flow fuel pump was inadequate somehow Aries, the chief tuner there, knew. Both were replaced, and the result was my 305 whp. As vaportrail can tell you, experienced shops have knowledge that will maximize your potential as they have tried all of the tricks of the trade. Not every shop or enthusiast can tune.

Back in the day, I drove from Maryland to Tampa to have Vaportrail install and tune my supercharger with 12 psi. The car ran like a gem and this resulted in multiple kills of many cars over and over and over again.

Do not underestimate tuning. Longevity and winning depend upon it.

Peace Out

Injury to your hands?? Just curious what it is you do for a living..??

It took me two weeks of patience and time, this being my first mod I installed. With the help of a friend I learned a lot about turbo systems, associated electronics and gauges etc... Now I'm not saying this is for everyone, but if i can do it, i'm sure pretty much anyone can... as far as tuneing... sure an experienced shop can tune it for you, but there is still that initial learning curve you have to get over and the rest is downhill...

thanks to mark, dustin and several others ....

Let's just say if your PSA rises in 25-30 years you may need me to help. A different type of tuning and trouble shooting.
