Default turbo size question

i have a question about turbo sizing for drag racing. i know people talk about quick spooling turbos and how that the best thing to have and blaa blaa blaa. i have been looking at dyno charts and have noticed that on 1800 cc motors the use of a gt28 gives a sharp increase in power and then will level out. so its like power jumps severely around 3000rpm to 4000-4500rpms. while using a bigger turbo like a t4 t67 trim will yield a smoother transition into the power and make big power at that, the power curve on the larger turbo is smoother kinda like a NA power curve. i don’t know much about turbos so here is my question. for drag racing on street tires wouldn’t the bigger turbo with the slower yet smoother spool work better? on my 1/4 mile runs i’m only under 6000rpms on the pull out of the hole after the shift into second its all 6000-8200. it would seem that the smoother transition into the higher torque and horsepower would make it less likely to rip my wheels loose off the line. and its hard to run bigger than 205/50/15 on my ef. im not sure if its just about the tune or waste gate or boost controller. any thoughts would be appreciated.

For drag racing I guess you want more power in the top end - which would mean bigger turbo... For street and Autox and such you'd want a smaller turbo with a faster spool up.

I hope that answered your question... cuz paragraphs > you.
