turbo power question
I'm not a noob to turbos and i read through the faq section, but couldnt find my answer. The question i have may seem kinda noobish and i'm sry. Let say you have a built b18c1 with say 140ish whp all motor. You want to purchase a turbo for it and build a kit....etc. I've been looking at many sites for the right turbo. I'm looking for 350ish tuned. When i look at turbo options, I read in the description..."250-400 hp"
My question is: Does that mean 250-400 possible horse power gain on top of my already 140 all motor whp? I know it sounds dumb, but it's a small question. Please no stupid answers. Thanks

Re: turbo power question
that's usually an indicator of how much the turbo can "flow". meaning, don't expect more than 400 hp when using that turbo, no matter how much boost you try to run. also, that isn't added to your stock power, that is max power the car can make with that turbo.

Re: turbo power question
^^Thats pretty much what they mean. The turbo is good for between 250-400hp. Beware of some claims because they are a bit exaggerated.
