turbo si throwing a 92 code??
Thats evaporative emissions system for those who don't know. What could be the cause of this. Car was fine just cruising along. started puttering at very high rpms. no detonation just like hiccups.
three days later thing just dies won't start and thats the code im getting.
fi peeps help me out on what the heck this is. not even with the ecu reset does it start??
faulty ignitor??

Strange i threw the same code when i was NA. It was because i capped off the vacuum source on top of my GSR manifold for the evap canister. I accidentally broke a tab off of the evap canister while working on my car and just junked the whole assembly rather than buy a new one. I don't know why a 92 would cause you car not to start. Maybe your defective evap system is not letting your fuel tank vent properly and messing up your fuel delivery. Just a thought.

I would have to look at my helms to explain further. But basically there is a valve in your gas tank that allows vapors to vent. The vapors are sucked out of the tank through the evap canister (charcol absorbs the bad stuff) by the intake manifold. I think i read the the IM only sucks the vapors out when the AC is on. But i don't know.
Also make sure that the code 92 is the only code your are throwing. Remember you car needs air, fuel and spark to start. Make sure you're gettin all those.

si did turn on yesterday, but withing 15 second puttered gave it gas, right back off.
has to be the ignitor throwing that code would be the ignition timing control. no way to burn whatever vapors are in the purge system.

It would be hard for me to troubleshoot for you. I have no basic knowledge of your setup or history behind the car. To bad you had to take it to the dealership. I doubt your engine would have trouble burning the vapors. Maybe something got into the evap system and is choking your engine.
