Default Turbo setup Question

Thanks to ben@importparts.com, I got some awesome package prcies
Ill be running my R's b18c5 with JE forged pistons (9.0-1) and eagle forged rods. Im planning on a hondata stage2 with rc550's. my question is how much boost can the c5's sleeves hold and how much before i need to swap out the stock fuel pump.

Some people say you can run 10psi on stock sleeves but I wouldn't do that. I would keep it at 7psi or 8psi only. 10psi on stock sleeves is asking for trouble. You should have gotten a inline fuel pump with your kit, thats good for 10psi's or so, however with the compression you are running I wouldn't do no more tehn 8psi. Thats just my opinion, you can choose to listen or ignore.

You don't need an inline pump with hondata. the bigger injectors don't need higher pressure. A better flowing intank pump wouldn't hurt though. HTH

I would get an Intake fuel pump (preferably endyne modified Bosch). As for sleeves, it depends on your setup and how well you tune it, Ive heard of people running 15+psi on stock sleeves with good tuning and didnt have any problems. Im getting my block sleeved becuase ive heard too many horror storys and I want to prevent as many problems from occuring as I can.

i have heard and seen peeps runing 15psi on stock sleeves! It is all in the tuning....With out tuning you wont have a motor no matter how strong it is...Just give it time.

And there was also a B18C5 owner on here that eventually cracked his sleeves after running on 14 PSI over a period of time, and yes he did have it properly tuned.

might as well get it sleeved too so that way you dont have to worry about the cylinder walls cracking even with proper tuning.

think of it this way, besides the damage from the cylinder walls cracking, what type of damage would that cause to your JE pistons?
