Icon3 Turbo selection for xmas gift! help!

Okay so heres the deal, i am looking at getting a turbo kit for my best friend and he has specific GOALS... He doesn't know I'm getting it but i want to make sure i get the one that he will love and make sure he will be happy with the kit.

The kit will come from go-autoworks.com

Alright some insight on his car.
b16
9.1cp pistons
manley rods
Arp head studs/rod bolts
stock head
stock intake mani

Alright he daily's his car and is looking for a responsive turbo his goals are 280whp-320whp~

These are the turbos he talks about.. so which do you think will be more achievable. Now keep IN MIND he is always talking about having full boost in low RPM's that's his goal.(.48ar/.63ar) So full boost around 3500~ ish. But he wants to make sure that the turbo he gets doesn't fall on its face.. I have looked at tons of threads and haven't really ran across anything that really points me into the right direction.. Btw he will be boosting around 10psi(later adding a boost controller which he is getting from a friend for xmas as well i think.)

gt28rs .48ar or .63ar
garret t3/t4 50trim .48ar
turbonetics t3 super 60 .48ar or .63ar

And i cant get a direct answer from him on which one so im hoping you guys can shed some light on which one would be the best bet and your idea/experiences

Thanks Jason.

no cover up.. im getting the gt3076r... currently running a 18g. lol
I have my b16 with cp pistons eagle rods, buddy club valve springs retainers ect. Skunk2 intake wit throttle body, skunk2 pro1 series cams skunk 2 cam gears and my lovely 18g on aem ems series 1. Tuned at PSI(Portland speed industrys)

this isnt a question for greg,(which hasn't emailed me back *out of town?) so id rather ask the guys that have had them there points of veiws sure i could ask greg i just like the input most of the guys on here put out.(muckman, califorinadad, sheldon*) its just input for the best turbo for his needs. I would like a little more info on what people recommend and there ideas. I know the gt28rs is a nice turbo. But with the. 48ar fall on its face? Or would the .63 lag alittle bit to much. i just have all of them listed to make sure.

How about just giving your friend the cash and let him do what he wants?

You're running pro1's on an 18g turbo? Hows that back pressure doing for ya ? way to much cam for that turbo

you do not want a .48 housing on a b series vtec engine plain and simple. it will choke it out on the higher rpm range. a .63 is best for the application and will spool very well with either turbo your looking at.

The turbonetics t3 super 60 is to small. if you want to save a few bucks the 50 trim will hit tha goal no problem and the gt28 isnt needed but will work fine too

too easy to spend it on beer and hookers that way lol.

your friend should look into at least a gsr cam setup since he has a nice build block. a few years ago i tuned a friends car stock b16 with gsr cams using a 57 trim with .48 exhaust. it wasnt bad on the street we couldnt feel it falling on its face but im sure on a dyno it was dropping 10-20hp up top like 7000+. for your friend i might suggest the 50 trim with a .63 ar.

Yea i have vtec disengaged because of the cams, but thats why ill be getting the gt3076r. That's what i was thinking... i keep hearing people say its chokes out.. but then others say its an awsome street turbo.. i mean come on... who wants to lose power where the motor thrives at. (Higher rpm)

So ill deff grab a. 68
