turbo rebuild help

Default turbo rebuild help

i need help rebuilding my turbo i have the middle bearing section all apart and i cant get the cold side seal plate apart.

(heres an exploded view of it with labeled parts if it helps. http://www.gpopshop.com/garrettt2kits.html) i have the snap ring out but the seal plate wont come. how should i get it out?

please help. Its a jdm garrett t25 from a nissan avenir.

I'm lost on what part you cant get out? You removied the ring that holds everything in there right? if so when remove the nut and take the wheel off and the rest is right there..??

are you sending the turbo off the get ballanced?

no im not.... should i? what are the benefits. Im pretty new to rebuilding turbos

u have to mark the compressor wheel and shaft befoe u take it apart. or else you have to send it out to have it rebalanced.

something spinning at 50 000 rpm doesnt take well to being unbalanced.
