ok im about to buy a 87 Z31 turbo, and the current owner says the turbo needs to be rebuilt, now what does that mean? new seals? he says the shaft is not broken or wobbles? thanks

 

Make sure the compressor and turbine wheels are in good condition, havent hit the turbine or compressor housings and are not pitted. It might just need bearings/bushings and seals...companies sell DIY kits, or u could have someone rebuild it for u

 

u can get DIY rebuild kits for seals on ebay for like 65-75 bux

who do you guys recomend to rebuild a turbo?
