turbo question
i have a 95 civic ex with a gsr swap and i want to know if i got a greddy kit for it but instead of putting the turbo that comes with would i be able to put another like lets say a bigger greddy turbo or rev hard turbo and if so would that be a good idea?
i'm pretty sure it is possible to mount up a different turbo with the greddy kit. as long as the flanges match up. about turbo size, what are your goals? if you want street performance and some race, don't get a bigger turbo. Can you say turbo lag? if you are building a full race car, the bigger the better.
well my goals is to a least a mid 12 on street legal drag radials and high 11s on slicks. maybe like 350 to 400 hp, the reason why i ask is becuz i heard that they spool fast but they die quick and dont have good top end , and well you need top end just as much as bottom end in a drag race. also it is going to be a street legal car and also i live in california so it has to be c.a.r.b legal too.

well i guess when i take my car to get smog i can just put on the org. turbo that came with the kit that way i can pass. right? also my bottom end is ready to go i have a eagle crank with eagle rods with cp piston and my block is bored out to 84mm and is sleeve with some dartons
i don't think you realize what your saying . you want to run 11's and still pass emissions. if you run 11's, the car is not a legal street car so decide how much of an outlaw you want to be and go fast.
