Default turbo question

I got a em1 si with stock b16 and want to turbo it. I know what turbo I want and everything else but was wondering if I can run all stock internals. I only want like 8-10 psi and don't think it would hurt it.

you need to do real research before you even think about throwing a turbo on your car or else you'll end up spending way too much money or blowing your engine up.

OP, if I were you, I'd run to the forced induction FAQs ASAP before Grumblemarc stumbles on this thread and rips you a new one.

yes you can boost your motor with stock internals, plenty of people have done it. research the turbo size you want THEN figure out how many pounds are safe to run. just saying "8-10psi" is irrelevant because there are many different sized turbos to choose from.

and yes, as the second poster said, please read, read, read, and read some more from the forced induction section of this forum. search before you ask a question too, you'll find your answer.
