turbo question

Default turbo question

ok i got a b16block with ctr pistons an rods with a mugen 2layer head gasket its a type r head with skunk2 springs/retainers/valves/cam gears/stage 2 cams itr intake mani with a ports 70mm throttle body . itr tranny with a 6puk clutch my question is i want to boost it i was just going to get a thicker head gasket an leave the rest alone i just dont konw the strengh of the ctr piston let me know what you think

well your currently at 12.2:1 getting a .064 hg will drop you down to 10.60 which is just a tad lower than oem b16b's which blow up all the time on boost and before anybody flames i own a b16b and i listend to all the morons that said id be fine high CR plus mad high piston domes plus boost ftl

those pistons are a bad idea for boost either way with there super high domes wich in my non expert opinion are prone to hotspots more so than flat top pistons.
