Default turbo question

hi everyone am new too posting in this forum hopefully i can find some help.I picked up a evo 9 turbo the other day at the pomona swapmeet(for 20 bucks). The guy said i might need too replace the turbine shaft bearing if thats what it's called, how much do you think it would cost to have it rebuilt? And also am looking to put it on my civic it's a 96 4 door D16Y7 nothing crazy just want some more power to pull the hills better. How much power do you think i can make out of it without breaking into the block?

some guy just made 506 on teh stock sleves...granted that was with forged internals. Stock single cam I wouldn't press much over 200whp.

Evo8 and Evo9 Turbo's are different... but in either case hit up turbochargers.com and see how much they charge to rebuild one. AFAIK...I haven't heard of any being rebuilt...most people just replace or upgrade.
