Default Turbo problems. Please help

I just installed basically a drag turbo kit on my gsr hatch. I am using an FMU for fuel management since my Hondata and ecu was stolen. Anyways everything is done and when I took it for a drive it started up fine but when it hit 3K rpm it bogged down like it was hitting the rev limiter. I used a friends type R ecu just to test it and this time it bogged down the same way but this time at 4K rpm. I am going to check my timing today when I get off of work but what else do you guys think it is. Let me know if you need more info on my setup to troubleshoot. I do have an upgraded fuel pump if that makes any difference. Any help is appreciated thanks.

yes you need high pressure fuel pump for FMU to work right.

No I said I do have an upgraded fuel pump. I have a Walboro 255lph fuel pump. I also have stock injectors and stock spark plugs. The spark plugs are getting replaced for some colder plugs today. I do not think its the spark plugs. Please let me know what you think could be wrong.

Yeah I am going to change that today. Can it be anything else? Anything else to look for?

Hmm... I know if the ecu doesnt know that the motor is warmed up it will kick in a rev-limiter earler..

Are you throwing any codes or anything..

Yes I did. I also used my friends missing link to see if that was it and that didnt fix the problem.

Hmm... Forgetting about the rpm's, Look at the boost gauge and see if you can see where it cuts at a certant boost level..

Im kinda running out of ideas on this one.. If it does this and doesnt throw a code I still think it might be the ecu doesnt know your motor is warmed up and its hitting the cold rev limiter or something..

On a side note instead of using the fmu and check valve crap why dont you get your gsr ecu chipped and run Uberdata for tuning, Its free..

I always said that since computers are so advanced now a days why would you want to hide boost from it and use a vacuum operated device for correction..

Ok I tried my friends Hondata and ecu. We have basically the same setup except that he has a type R motor. I put in some Rc 550 injectors because thats what he ran when he got it tuned. Guess what same problem. Only thing is it cuts off at 4K rpm not instead of 3K. I know the type R motor revs 1K higher than my gsr so maybe thats the reason for it cutting off in at 4K now. WTF

Could still be the cold rev-limiter.. like G"UNIT said, Check and make sure you have everything hooked up and correctly..
