I was doing research on turboing a friends d17.

I have only seen a few topics on HT about members turboing their d17.
Here is a website i came across selling a complete kit for 7th gen civics.

Over at the 7thgencivic.com website that looks to be the standard.
Im pretty impressed with the numbers and with the kit d17 coupes are hitting mid 13's @ 6psi.

one thing i was surprised about is their test car claims about 300 hp @ 10psi with their kit.

Anybody here have any experience or knowledge about the d17 motors?

my buddy here has a 92 Civic EX with a custom turbo in it
supposely a custom kit from some company
he claimed to be the first 7G civic with turbo over here in OH
it moves good , but it aint sick fast

so i say 14.0 high 13is is ok with like 8-9 psi

 

I did a turbo d17, a custom kit I built, and it made 197whp at 8lbs. There's no way they're making 300whp at 10psi...

 

Ahh, just checked your link, they said "estimated 300hp at 11psi". That explains it, their "estimate" is a little off...
