Ive been all motor and this is gonna be the second forced induction set up, after i plug in the nitrous i want to know what i have to do to the engine to make it safe, dont wanna go KABOOM! im lookin to boost 15-25lbs. I would defintely suggest opening up that block and getting some lower cmp pistons and rods. after that engine management.

I thought the type R's had like an 11 to1 comp ratio. If so you might not be able to go past 7-8psi on the stock block without blowing your ringlands and possibly ruining your head with piston parts.

15-25lbs of boost?? thats very broad. if its on any medium to large sized turbo than youre going to have to drop the compression. build the block and you can leave the head as it is.

you need to read,lol.

Also pick a hp range not a boost range. Then we can help match turbo and boost to the power your looking to get..

I prepped my typeR for turbo few months back

eagle rods
wiseco pistons
balanced crank
3-way valve job
ACT clutch

I proceeded to stall my car twice on the way home trying to get used to that clutch

hey guys, i posted this on my friends screen name, but i decided to join... well i got a new set up, its a b16 block with 1 bad piston(plan to change all since im goin turbo) gsr head, and a ls tranny, everything only ran me 450 so id rather build this up. so looks like im gonna need low comp. pistons, rods. whats balancing the crank? and 3 way valve job?
