Default TURBO PRELUDE ONLY MAKING 189WHP ON MF2????? WTF!!!! HELP????

just wanting to know if anyone has had any good results using the erl mf2 on thier h22 or any other motor for that matter. i have an f- max kit on my prelude with a mf2 on it, and the PROBLEM is that i only dynoed at 189whp (7psi) on a dynojet the other day??????? I know people are going to be flaming me saying go Hondata or Neptune but im really short for cash right now so this is not an option for me at the moment.... i know people have done better with this fuel controller so whats the deal??? car has 3 inch exh, a walbro 255, missing link, do i need to mess with the dials a little bit???

a/f starts off at about 14 and under boost just hits 10.0 fat rich all the way towards redline. the tuner mess with dials a bit but he said he cant pin point the problem so he made it run in safe mode but still i should be making more power right???

we didn't touch the timing on the car.... a/f under boost 10.0 i didn't think i needed to mess with the timing if i wasn't going over 10psi... i dont have the msd btm, so if i do need to retard timing can i do this on my distributer????

For the amount of boost/HP your running the stock timing is fine.

As far as your a/f its way to rich you can pick up 30+hp by leaning it out to 12:1 under boost.

Here is my input... take it to someone who knows what they are doing. A reputable tuner will be able to help you out no problem.

+1 There are plenty of good tuners on your area.
Go to http://phearable.net/tech and look at the crome or honda-tech tuner directory links

if you have a missing link, then exactly what does the mf2 do? as the map sensor never sees boost, i assume you have a RRFPR on the car?

and if you are running stock timing + 12:1 FPR, then your power is probably about right, as i've seen stock preludes at 7psi make 220whp or so, where if they had real management they would be over 300.

You definitely need to retard timing at 8+ psi. If not before that.

the manifold is a drag 2 mani T3/T4 (48.AR EXH.) everything else f- max... so the wastegate sits up side down with no dump on it for now...... but i had a friend awile back with a f-max kit on his prelude with the mf2 on 13psi with a headgasket and it ran like a bat out a hell... after a year the car still had good compression all across...... im gonna try to talk to the tuner that set up his car to see if he can fix mine...... hope i can get some better results.. if not i guess im gonna have to buckle down and get an ems with more control... were should i go?????? TONY P. OR STOOPID???
