i need some help im getting a free turbo from one of my buddy's. it a stock TD04 turbo from a wrx i was wondering is this turbo too small for my gsr? i was looking at it i was surprise by it size so the question is will it peak out before my engine revs up or is my eyes messing with me

 

It is a smaller turbo, but what are your power goals?

If you're looking for a mild increase in power, that turbo will work just fine, and spool quickly.

 

well my goal is 230 - 250 something around there or little higher

 

nope. Won't happen with that turbo on either a GS-R or LS. The flanging alone isn't worth trying to work with. You don't know how many people ask this question w/ a WRX turbocharger.
